Fellowship

  • Looking after each other:As a church family we put a high priority on looking after each other. We operate a system of pastoral visiting whereby each member of the church, and others who regularly worship with us, have an allocated Pastoral Visitor. This person will usually be the person who brings the monthly church newsletter but will visit regularly to offer friendship and help where needed. Maureen Scoble has oversight of the pastoral visiting. If anyone would like to become a pastoral visitor. please contact Maureen. If you would like someone to call on you or you are aware of a pastoral need please contact our Minister Stephen Caddick.
  • Getting to know people
    • As a fairly large church it can seem quite overwhelming trying to get to know people if you are new. We try to welcome newcomers, but it is not always easy to spot new people.
    • To help people get to know each other, no matter how long they have been at the church, we operate a Food and Fellowship Club. This links different people together on a rota basis. The emphasis is very much on Fellowship (rather than food!). This is an excellent way of getting to know people. Contact Jan Adams (tel: 892672)
    • Methodist Events Liaison Team (MELT) - organises social events several times a year. These events are excellent ways of getting to know each other better but are also great for inviting friends and family too! contact Joy Philips.
  • Men's Fellowship: meets several times a year for quizzes, social trips, and meals (as publicised). Contact Mike Humphrey (tel. 896688) and keep a look out on the 'What's On' pages.
  • Ladies Fellowship: meets at 2:30pm on Fridays in the church hall. Contact Janet Warrilow (tel: 691736)
  • Craft Group: meets at 2pm on Wednesdays in the church hall. Contact Pam Rendle (tel: 893851)
