Ivybridge Methodist Church has the following core values:
- Worship, doctrinally pure, culturally relevant;
and so for the maximum number. It must be organised to the highest quality - God deserves our best.
- Community, fellowship at all levels, conducive to spiritual maturity and holiness.
A desire among all believers for community, one to one, in small groups and in the church family as a whole, making a cohesive body fit to change the world.
- Evangelism, Biblically faithful and efficient, leading to continuous church growth. Lost people matter to God, and therefore to us. We must tell people about God in ways they can respond to. This is Christ's commission to us.

- Servanthood, sacrificial service and generosity. Unconditional acceptance of all people, inside and outside the church. God loves all people, and each individual, equally, and so must we.
